Rams Fall In Overtime

KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) - Jason Harris scored a game-high 27 points, including 10 in overtime, and Duke Freeman-McKamey added 13 points as Fordham pulled away from Rhode Island 88-81 in overtime Saturday.

Arseni Kushinsky came off the bench to toss in 17 for Fordham (14-4, 7-9 Atlantic 10) in the final regular season game for both teams.

Zach Marbury connected for 20 points for Rhode Island (5-24, 2-14), which set a school record for the most losses in a season. It was the 12th straight defeat for Rhode Island.

Fordham combined good free-throw shooting with timely 3-pointers to keep pace with its host. Fordham hit 22 of 26 attempts from the line and netted 12 of 31 3-point shots including four by Harris.

After leading 30-29 at the half, Fordham traded the lead before opening a six- point advantage 68-62 with 1:45 left in regulation. Rhode Island then scored the period's final points to push the game into overtime.

Rhode Island's Howard Smith put his team ahead 75-73 with a jumper with 3:15 remaining, but Fordham used a 6-0 run to lead the rest of the way.

Tip Vinson and Tavorris Bell each had 18 points for Rhode Island, which struggled at the foul line, netting only 16 of 27 attempts.
