PITTSBURGH (AP) - Wayne Smith scored 17 of his 25 points in the second half
as Duquesne broke a three-game losing streak and beat Rhode Island 83-69
Wednesday night.

the game.

week, a decision that is under appeal.

field, and ended up with 12 points.
Duquesne led 41-30 at the half. Rhode Island trimmed the lead to four early
in the second half before Aaron Lovelace scored six consecutive points for
Duquesne.

with seven assists.
Rhode Island was also without Brian Woodward, who has a knee injury.
Woodward has averaged 12.4 points in only five games this season.
