Football Remains Perfect With 31-27 Victory Over UNH

KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) - David Jamison ran for 260 yards and two touchdowns on 45 carries Saturday to lead Rhode Island to a 31-27 victory over New Hampshire.

Wendall Williams and Vince Nedimyer added scoring runs as Rhode Island (7-0, 5-0 Atlantic 10) remained undefeated. The Rams amassed 433 rushing yards.

Ryan Day completed 27 of 42 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns to lead New Hampshire (4-2, 2-3). Stephan Lewis added 93 yards on 28 carries.

Rhode Island, leading 17-13 at halftime, took a 24-13 lead on Jamison's second touchdown, a 13-yard run with 8:29 left in the third quarter.

New Hampshire cut the lead to 24-21 early in the fourth when Day connected with Brian Mallett on an 18-yard touchdown pass.

The Rams responded with a 10-play, 61-yard drive, ending with Williams' 5-yard touchdown run.
