Brown (1-0): Brown is currently ranked seventh in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association Northeast rankings ... the Bears notched a 5-0 win over Providence in their only game this season ... the teams two game against North Carolina State and Georgetown this past weekend at the ECAC Tournament were canceled due to last Tuesday's tragic events ... sophomore Caitlin Carey (1g, 1a) and senior Kim Lanzaire (1g, 1a) lead the team in scoring with three points each ... junior Mary Jo Markle made one save in the shutout win over Providence.
Rhode Island (2-1): Rhode Island enters the game riding a 13-game home winning streak, dating back to the 1999 season ... the Rams are coming off a 2-1 win over Fairfield on Sept. 9 ... the teams games against Holy Cross (Sept. 12), Boston University (Sept. 15) and Dartmouth (Sept. 16) were all postponed due to last Tuesday's tragic events ... senior all-america candidate Shannon Kittelson (1g, 1a) and sophomore Sarah Johnston (1g, 1a) lead the team in scoring with three points a piece ... junior Jamie Epperlein has posted a 2.00 goals against average in net for this season in two games while senior Kate Hirsch made four stops and allowed only one goal in the Rams 2-1 win over Fairfield ...
