Football Falls To James Madison, 15-11

KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) - Raymond Hines scored on a 1-yard run midway through the third quarter Saturday to propel James Madison to a 15-11 win over Rhode Island.

Hines' run capped a 10-play, 74-yard drive and erased a 7-6 Rhode Island lead.

George Burke added a 20-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter for James Madison (4-6, 3-5 Atlantic 10).

James Madison opened the scoring on Cortez Thompson's 53-yard fumble recovery on Rhode Island's first offensive series.

Rhode Island (3-6, 1-5) took a 7-6 lead in the second quarter when quarterback Jason Davis ran 18 yards for a touchdown.

James Madison took two safeties in the fourth quarter to round out the scoring.

Chad Campbell led Rhode Island with 120 yards rushing on 17 carries. Matt Lezotte completed 13 of 15 passes for 176 yards for James Madison.
