Clash Of The Rams Proves Fatal For Fordham

NEW YORK (AP) - Troy Wiley had 20 points and Rhode Island scored the game's final six points in a 70-64 victory over Fordham on Wednesday night in a matchup of teams nicknamed Rams.

Dino Daniels added 18 points for Rhode Island (7-15, 3-8 Atlantic 10), while Lazare Adingono and Brian Woodward each had 11.

William "Smush" Parker had 18 points for Fordham (8-15, 4-8), while Mark Jarrell-Wright had 17 and Teremun Johnson 12.

Wiley hit two 3-pointers in a 14-5 run that gave Rhode Island a 60-54 lead with 10:31 to play. Fordham tied the game 64-64 on a jumper by Parker with 1:52 left but didn't score again.

Woodward's three-point play gave Rhode Island the lead for good with 49 seconds remaining and the final three points came on free throws, two by Daniels and one by Woodward.
