Men's Basketball Falls To Dayton, 66-57

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Keith Waleskowski scored 14 points - including six during a 10-0 second-half run - to lead Dayton to a 66-57 victory over Rhode Island on Saturday.

Dayton (16-7, 7-4 Atlantic 10) held a 51-50 lead with 4:49 left when Waleskowski led the spurt that resulted in a 61-50 lead with 1:07 left. Ramod Marshall helped out in the run with a 3-pointer.

Rhode Island (7-16, 3-9) led 25-24 at the half.

Nate Green added 12 points for Dayton, while Yuanta Holland scored 11. Marshall led the Flyers with eight assists.

Brian Woodward topped Rhode Island with 15 points. Troy Wiley, who chipped in with eight assists, added 13 points.

The free-throw line was a deciding factor in the game. The Flyers hit 20 of 23 foul shots while Rhode Island received only five chances, hitting three.

The Rams stayed close with their outside shooting, hitting 6-of-15 3-pointers led by Lazare Adingono who made two of his three attempts.
