CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Rhode Island dropped a 4-0 decision at Charlotte on Friday night.

Charlotte scored two goals in the first half and added two more in the second 45:00 of play.

Tara Murphy played all 90:00 in goal for URI, making seven saves. The 49ers outshot URI, 20-9, including an 11-3 edge in shots on-goal.

The 49ers have won 19 straight games in Atlantic 10 play since dropping a 1-0 decision to Rhode Island on Oct. 28, 2007.

With the loss, the Rams drop to 3-6-1 overall and 1-2 in A-10 action. URI faces Saint Louis on Sunday afternoon.
