PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Rhode Island closed out its 2010 non-conference schedule with a 3-0 loss at Brown on Wednesday afternoon.

Seventeen Rams saw action in the match, including split time between goalkeepers Brooke Messier and Sasha Reiber.

URI (1-11-1) attempted three shots on the afternoon, putting one on-goal. Tied at 0-0 at the break, the Bears tallied all three goals in the second half of play. Brown outshot Rhode Island, 14-3, and attempted four corner kicks to just one for URI.

Messier saw 74:13 of action, stopping five shots, while Reiber closed out the last 15:47 without a save opportunity.

Rhode Island returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 17 when it hosts Massachusetts in an A-10 matchup at the URI Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
