Rhode Island will compete in the 2010 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship, to be held Apr. 30-May 2 at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.
The Rams are vying for their seventh A-10 golf title all-time, since the conference began the championship in 1978. Last season, URI finished fifth overall, with a three-round total of 914.
Taylor Fontaine was the team's top finisher, placing third overall (72-74-71=217), earning A-10 Co-Rookie of the Year honors.
Tee times for all three rounds of the Championship begin at 8:00am.
Home of the 1998 & 2000 NCAA Men's Golf Championship, Mission Inn Resort has been ranked among the "top 10 of Florida's favorite golf courses" by Florida Golf News; received the "Four-Star Award" by Golf Digest; and was recognized as one of the nation's "top 100 golf courses" by Links Magazine.
