URI jumped out to an early lead, plating three runs in the first inning thanks to run-scoring singles by Coulombe and Angulo and an RBI ground-out by Haverstick.
LeBel then drew a second-inning walk and stole both second and third before scoring Rhody's fourth run on an error by SBU catcher Michael Grieco.
Haverstick's single to center made is a 5-0 game in the third as he drove in junior Evan Laude who had doubled to right center.
Coulombe went on to score the Rams final two runs - one in the fifth and one in the seventh - while Boyce retired 14 consecutive batters from the second through the seventh inning - to seal the 7-0 victory.
The Rams and Bonnies return to Fred Handler Park for an 11 a.m. doubleheader on Sunday.
