Final Stats
KINGSTON, R.I. - Freshman Britta Baarstad
tallied a match-high 14 kills to lead the Rhode Island women's
volleyball team (5-3) to a 3-1 victory over New Hampshire Friday
night inside Keaney Gymnasium.
Sophomore Rachel Zarazan and
senior Lauren
McIntosh also chipped in offensively as they totaled 14 and 10
kills, respectively. Sophomore Annie Nelson also
had a strong performance as she dished out a match-high 46
assists.
Rhody started strong as it claimed a 25-13 victory in the first
frame, holding the Wildcats to just a .069 hitting percentage as a
team. UNH fought back in game two and claimed a 27-25 victory to
even the match at one game apiece.
The Rams went on to close out UNH in sets three and four,
winning 26-24 (game three) and 25-20 (game four).
Rhody concludes play in the Art Carmichael Invitational on
Saturday as it takes on Marist, beginning at 3 p.m.
