Football: Maine 27, Rhode Island 21 - Final

How It Happened:
Rhode Island rallied after being down 21-0, tallying a late 4th quarter touchdown which cut it to 27-21. Bob Bentsen entered the game in the 3rd quarter after starting QB Steve Probst exited with an injury. The sophomore from Warwick, R.I. was 11-for-17 for 158 yards and two touchdowns. He did throw an interception, which led to a TD for the Black Bears late in the 3rd quarter.

Anthony Baskerville made eight catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns to lead the receiving corps. Travis Hurd rushed 16 times for 54 yards. Dave Zocco and Doug Johnson each made 10 tackles, while Darrell Dulany and Willie McGinnis each registered eight stops.

Inside the Box Score and Beyond:
* This was the first two touchdown game of Anthony Baskerville's career. The Newark, N.J. native caught two TD passes in the second half, upping his overall career total to nine (eight receiving, one rushing).

* Bob Bentsen threw two TD passes - both to Baskerville - while completing 11-of-17 in his first action under center in a Rhody uniform. He also rushed for 16 yards.

* Senior fullback Chris Mancuso found the end zone from 1 yard out with 13:07 to play in the 4th quarter. His run was set up by a great defensive stance just four plays earlier. Dave Zocco forced a fumble, stripping the ball from Maine's Terrel Walker. Willie McGinnis quickly recovered the fumble on the Maine 1-yard line.

* For McGinnis, it was the fourth fumble recovery of his URI career.

* Zocco put forth his second consecutive game with double-digits in the tackle column. The sophomore from Nashua, N.H. was credited with 10 tackles (6 solo) and one tackle for a loss. He leads the Rams with 56 total tackles and 44 solo stops.

* Doug Johnson also made 10 tackles - including two for a loss. He leads the team with 11.5 TFL this season (44 yards).
