DADE CITY, Fla. -- Rhode Island sits in 21st place after round one of the USF Invitational.

The tournament is the first of the 2011 spring season for the Rams and is being held at the South Course of the Lake Jovita Golf Club (par 72, 7060 yards).

The three-day, 54-hole tournament began on Friday, March 4. Rhody finished with a day one total of 321.

Patrick Pelletier is tied for 90th place, with a first round score of 79. Taylor Fontaine and Andrew Fiorenzano are tied for 95th place, one stroke behind with a first day score of 80.

Branden Chicorka shot an 82 (t100th), while John Kelly carded an 87 (t104th).

Rhode Island tees off tomorrow afternoon at 12:45 p.m. in round two action.
