Day One Results

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. -- Rhode Island's "B" and "A" teams sit in second and third place, respectively, after the opening round of play at the Rams Invitational, held at the Green Valley Country Club (par71; 6,830 yards).

The Rams' B team totaled 299 strokes, while the A squad compiled a score of 302. Temple sits atop the team leaderboard, with a score of 295.

Branden Chicorka and David Gosselin are tied for sixth place, each carding a 2-over score of 73. Cody Larson is tied for 21st (76), while Ben Conway is tied for 25th (77). Jeffrey Ray is tied for 36th (80), to round out the B golfers.

John Kelly and Patrick Pelletier each fired first round scores of 74, good for a tie for 10th place. Taylor Fontaine is tied for 21st place (76), while Bill McDonald is tied for 27th place (78). Andrew Fiorenzano rounded out the A squad, with a score of 79 - tying him for 33rd place.
