RHODE ISLAND VS. GEORGIA STATE - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today marks the second meeting between URI and Georgia State.
- Last season, Georgia State cruised to a 96-64 victory in Atlanta.
- The Panthers are Rhody's second CAA opponent of the season.
RHODE ISLAND VERSUS THE CAA
- Rhode Island is 11-4 against CAA teams since the league was formed in 1985.
- Earlier this season, URI dropped a 55-52 decision at home to CAA opponent George Mason.
- The Rams were 2-2 versus CAA teams last year, with wins over Hofstra and James Madison and losses at George Mason and Georgia State.
- Rhody has faced at least one CAA opponent in each of the last six seasons.
RHODE ISLAND IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY
- Since joining the Eastern 8 in the 1980-81 season, URI has posted a 250-205 mark in non-conference play.

- This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Ryan Center - the home of URI men's and women's basketball.

- Mike Powell played one of the finest games of his career, finishing with 18 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor, including all three of his 3-point attempts.
- He was 7-of-7 from the foul line and added a career-high six steals to go with four assists in 35 minutes.
- Xavier Munford scored all 11 of his points in the second half, connecting on 5-of-10 from the floor over the final 20 minutes.
- Andre Malone finished with 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds, connecting on a season-high four 3-pointers.
- Also in double figures was Nikola Malesevic, who finished with 12 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals.
- Paced by a hot hand offensively (57.7%, 15-26 FG), Rhode Island scored 43 points in the second half - the most in a single half of play this season.
- A 17-4 run midway through the second half put the game out of reach for the Rams - the second home win of the year.
- Rhode Island posted a season-best 17 assists and reached double digits in assists for the fifth consecutive game.
- Malesevic and Munford paced the Rams with a season-high five assists apiece, while Powell added four.
- Paced by Powell's 7-for-7 from the charity stripe, Rhode Island was 12-of-14 from the line (85.7%).
- Rhody scored 22 points off of 22 SMU turnovers and registered a season-best 12 steals.

- The 22-point victory over SMU was Rhode Island's largest margin of victory in a game since Feb. 26, 2011 (URI 90, Fordham 58 - 32 points).
- Mike Powell's six steals were the second-most by a Rhody player in a single-game and the most since all-time steals leader Keith Cothran had six swipes at Northeastern on Dec. 3, 2008.
- Powell leads the A-10 - and ranks ninth nationally - in minutes played, at 38.0 mpg.

FROM THE STANDPOINT OF EFFICIENCY
- Sophomore guard Mike Powell put forth one of the most efficient performances of the season against SMU on Dec. 15.
- Powell scored 18 points on just five field goal attempts; he knocked down 4-5 from the floor, including 3-3 from beyond the arc and all seven free throw attempts.
- He dished out four assists and registered a career-high six steals in 35 minutes of play.
'TIS THE SEASON FOR SHARING
- Rhody registered a season-high 17 assists against SMU on Dec. 15.
- Nikola Malesevic and Xavier Munford led the way with five assists each - both season-highs - while Mike Powell added four assists.
- The Rams posted an assist percentage of 68.0% (17 assists/25 field goals) - the highest since March 16, 2011, when Rhody dished out 20 assists to 27 field goals made against Miami (Ohio).
MUNFORD RANKS SECOND IN ATLANTIC 10 IN SCORING
- Junior guard Xavier Munford ranks second in scoring in the Atlantic 10 (through games of Dec. 18).
- The Hillside, N.J. native checks in at 17.2 points per game, which also ranks him among the top 100 players nationally.
- He has registered four of Rhody's top five scoring performances this season, including a 33-point effort at Auburn.
DUNK YOU VERY MUCH
- Over the last two games, Jordan Hare has been playing above the rim - dunking nine of his last 10 made field goals.
- Last time out against SMU, each of Hare's four field goals were dunks.
- He had five dunks en route to a career-best 14 points at Providence on Dec. 6.
