Rhody Women Blanked by Army

Box Score

How It Happened:

Rhody was unable to get the ball in goal today as they fell to Army. The women surrendered the most goals in a single game that they have given up all season.

Katie Holder was the star of the day for the Black Knights scoring five points off two goals and an assist. She scored the second and fourth goals of the game.

Other goals by Army were scored by Kimberly An, Ann Lail and Molly McGuigan. Jaclyn Kalik, Mallory Herron and Erica Ndlovu all added points on assists as well.

Rhody did have a chance to get on the board early in the second half but the potential goal was called back when Samantha Leyh was called for offsides.

"They were better than us today," head coach Michael Needham explained. "We missed a couple of great chances early in the match and their goalkeeper made a few excellent saves and I felt we could have been even at the half. All credit to Army, but we didn't play our best today. Our team is already looking forward to our next challenge Friday night at Harvard."
