Rams Blanked Twice by Spartans to Close Out Stetson Lead-Off Classic

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

How it Happened
Rhode Island (0-3) was shut out by Michigan State in both ends of its doubleheader on the final day of the Stetson Lead-Off Classic Sunday. The Rams fell 5-0 in the first game and 9-0 in five inning for the second game.

Michigan State (2-1) jumped out quickly in both games, as freshman Kassidy Kujawa hit a two-run home run in the first inning of both games. The Rams struggled with Kujawa all day, as she was 4-for-5 with two home runs, two walks, three runs scored and four runs batted in.

That was all the offense the Spartans needed. Rhode Island had four hits in each game, but it was unable to score any runs.
