Setting the Scene
The Rhode Island women's track & field team competed in the second day of the ECAC Championship earlier today in Boston, Mass. Rhode Island ranks 16th in the team standings. The Rams are tied with UMass Amherst with six points. Liberty is in the lead with 22 points.

Rhode Island Results

  • Kaylan Pickford finished third in the pole vault with a personal best, school and senior record of 3.85m. The previous record was 3.82m which she also held.
  • In the high jump Janel Conley tied for ninth (1.68m).
  • Genevieve Rybicki finished 14th in the weight throw with a throw of 16.23m.

Sunday's Finals

  • Emily Renna will run tomorrow in the 60-meter hurdle finals after qualifying today with a time of 8.61. This marks the fourth best Rhode Island run in history.
  • Although she didn't qualify Frankie Brillante ran in the 800-meter and grabbed a personal best of 2:12.77 which is also the fourth fastest in school history.
  • Jennifer Christian also didn't qualify but added a school best and senior record time of 24.77 in the 200-meter dash.
  • Alexa Pelletier will run in the 3000-meter final.
