Rams Roll Past Bulldogs, 5-2


How it Happened

Rhode Island improved to 4-1 on its home courts Thursday, defeating in-state rival Bryant by a score of 5-2. 

A pair of 8-4 victories earned Rhody the doubles point as juniors Nithila Asokaraj and Kathleen Uy were victorious at No. 1 and sophomores Galina Chernykh and Elizaveta Sadovnikova downed their opponents at No. 2

The Rams went on to take four of six matches in singles play. Chernykh collected her team-leading 19th victory at No. 1 singles while freshman Taylor Holden won by default to pick up her sixth W at the second position. Sadovnikova and freshman Jordan Rucks also picked up wins at the fourth and sixth spots, respectively.
