How it Happened
After claiming the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3, Fordham picked up three straight-set victories in singles play to eliminate Rhody, 4-0.
Sophomore Galina Chernykh (No. 1) and freshman Taylor Holden were the lone Rhode Island players to win a set in singles action. Chernykh edged Fordham's Ellie Ball in the opener, 7-5, while Holden was tied with Sarah Ali (0-6, 6-4) after two sets.
