How it Happened
Saint Joseph's swept through doubles play to take an early 1-0 lead in the match, but Rhody rallied back in singles. Galina Chernykh (1), Taylor Holden (2) and Nithila Asokaraj (5) each picked up wins to put Rhody ahead 3-2. However, the Hawks won the final two singles matches to escape Kingston with the 4-3 victory.
Coach's Comments
This was a great conference match for us. We rallied back after losing the doubles point and took a 3-2 lead. The match was determined at #3. We showed so much maturity today, which is a huge improvement over last year's match against St. Joe's. I'm proud of our effort today.
