2015 Division I All-New England Football Team
KINGSTON, R.I. - Sophomore Harold Cooper was named to the 2015 Division I All-New England Football Team, as chosen by the New England Football Writers' Association.
Cooper was one of 31 players from 14 Division I schools named to the team. Cooper - who was the CAA Football First Team All-Conference kick returner - led the conference with his 23.7 yards per kick return average. He had a 92-yard kick return for a touchdown against Brown, one of five touchdown returns league-wide this season.
On offense, Cooper led Rhode Island in rushing yards (746), touchdowns (6), receptions (29) and all-purpose yards (1,582). He accounted for 72 percent of Rhody's total rushing yards and 42 percent of the team's total yardage for the season. He ranked 10th in the country with 157.9 all-purpose yards per game, and his 305 all-purpose yards against Brown were the most by any CAA player in a game this season. He also earned CAA Football Third Team All-Conference honors as a running back.
Harvard had the most players named to the All-New England Team with five, followed by Darmouth with four and New Hampshire with three.
