How it Happened
Rhode Island dropped its second straight, falling in overtime, 61-58, at Harvard Monday.

The Rams (7-5) led for the bulk of the night, going ahead by as many as nine in the third quarter. However, Harvard (9-4) battled back and forced overtime. With Rhode Island clinging to a 51-49 lead in the closing moments of regulation, Harvard's Mackenzie Barta was fouled while shooting a 3-pointer. She made 2-of-3 at the free throw line to tie the score with 14.6 second left, setting up the final possession of regulation.

Davida Dale got a solid look at a potential game winner. Using a pick from Nicole Jorgensen, Dale drove to the basket for a layup, but the ball rolled around the rim and out, sending the teams to overtime.

Tired legs seem to impact Rhode Island in overtime, as the Rams were just 3-for-12 from the floor. While Harvard was just 2-for-7 from the floor, the Crimson was a solid 6-of-8 at the free throw line, helping the hosts escape with the victory in the non-conference finale for both teams.
