KINGSTON, R.I. -- Rhode Island women's basketball head coach
Colleen Mullen announced Tuesday the addition of Lilly Phillips as the program's video coordinator, completing the Rams' coaching and support staff for the 2026-27 season.
Phillips, the twin sister of former Rhode Island standout
Sophie Phillips, joins the Rams after spending the past year playing professionally alongside her sister with BG74 Veilchen Ladies in Germany.
"Lilly is a proven winner and outstanding leader who helped lead our UAlbany program to four consecutive 20-win seasons, three conference championships and four postseason appearances," Mullen said. "As a captain, she embodied the values and standards that drove our success, and I'm excited for her to bring that championship mindset, work ethic and passion for excellence to Rhode Island."
Phillips played four seasons at UAlbany, where she earned America East Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition in consecutive years. As a senior, she averaged 8.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game while recording 57 assists, 33 steals and 17 blocks. She scored a career-high 24 points against Stonehill and was named to the America East All-Academic Team.
Phillips joins a staff that Mullen announced in May, reuniting with former coaches Meghan Methven and
Catherine Cassidy, as well as director of operationsÂ
Shae O'Brien.
Rhode Island's coaching staff also includes assistant coaches
Carly Fabbri and
Taya Robinson, completing Mullen's staff for the upcoming season.
