How it Happened
Rhode Island went cold in the second half against La Salle, and the result was a 54-42 loss to the Explorers Saturday afternoon.
An evenly played first half favored the Rams. Redshirt senior Davida Dale had a double-double before halftime, recording 11 points and 10 rebounds to help Rhody take a 27-25 lead into the break.
However, La Salle opened the third quarter on a 12-3 run, limiting Rhode Island to one field goal over the first 5:35. The Explorers never gave the lead up, and the Rams never got going offensively. URI was held to just six points in the fourth quarter as La Salle cruised to the win.
