No. 21 Columbia Sweeps Rhode Island

How It Happened
No. 21 Columbia blanked Rhode Island, 4-0, while playing at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center in New York, N.Y. Friday evening.

After winning the doubles point, Columbia (11-2) won matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles to clinch the victory. All matches were halted once the team result was determined.

Rhode Island (3-4) freshman Nadia Rajan had a competitive first set at No. 3 singles. Though Columbia's Shivani Amineni took the opening set, it was a close 6-4 score. The match was stopped in the second set once Columbia won the overall match.

Rhody sophomore Erin Chratian went against Akanksha Bhan, who is ranked 10nd in the nation. Bhan won in straight sets.
