Miller Named Assistant Coach for Women's Tennis

KINGSTON, R.I. - Tracy-Lee Miller has been named as an assistant coach for the women's tennis team, Rhode Island head coach Val Villucci announced Friday.
 
A URI alumna, Miller is a U.S. Professional Tennis Registry-certified professional who has been a tennis teaching tennis at all levels in the state for 15 years. She spent 12 years as the assistant head pro at Grand Slam Tennis Academy and also served as Head Pro at Buttonwoods Tennis Academy. Miller is the director of the North Kingstown Adult Recreational Tennis League.
 
"Tracy has extensive experience as a tennis coach and her schooling and expertise in not only tennis, but nutrition and training, will benefit our program," Villucci said. "A pure natural athlete with experience in competing at a high level in three sports, she has a great understanding of what a team player is and how to achieve a level of excellence."
 
Miller is the owner of Fuel, RD Nutrition, a nutrition counseling practice. She holds three degrees from Rhode Island. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Nutrition and Food Science and Nutrition. She then earned Summa Cum Laude distinction again while completing a master's degree in Nutritional Biochemistry.
