  • Yale leads the field heading into Sunday's final round with a two-round score of 572 (-4).
Individual Results
  • Redshirt senior Brandon Gillis enters Sunday's final round in third place. After opening with a 3-over 75, he stormed back with the low score of the day in the second round, carding a 67. Of the 180 scores turned in by the field of 90 today, only four individuals had a sub-70 round.
  • Junior Bryson Richards is tied for 10th through two rounds with a 1-over 145 (71-74).
  • Redshirt senior Jordan Brajcich is tied for 31st at 5-over. He carded a 76 the first time through and shot a 73 in the second round to finish the day with a combined 149.
  • Sophomore Andrew DiPetrillo is one stroke behind Brajcich, tied for 35th with two-round score of 150 (74-76).
  • Sophomore Nate Ingram shot back-to-back 77s to finish the day 10-over (154). He will enter the third and final round tied for 49th.
  • Sophomore Jack Tegan is tied for 73rd after going 81-76 (157).
Head Coach Gregg Burke Said…
  • It was great to see Brandon play as well as he did after being four over early but turn it around to go six under through the final 27 holes.  In shooting the five under in the afternoon, he played just about as conservatively as you can.  It was course management at its best.
  • Overall, it was as frustrating as it was rewarding.  After eight or nine holes we were in 15th out of 15 teams and 14 shots out of the lead. As the day went on, especially the afternoon round, we rose to second and just four behind.  But the final six holes were like the start and we gave it all back.  We were six red at one point and finished plus two.
  • And where it appears that we had a tremendous comeback to move from 15th to second, I simply want the team to ask itself why were in 15th in the first place.  Heroic comebacks to second or third place are not positives; they are indicative that some of us weren't ready to play when we first put the tee in the ground.
  • We are very strong in the top three slots with Bryson, Brandon, and Jordan but after that we have real questions.  The top three shot four over and the next three were 29 over.
