Rhode Island moved into second place after combining for a second-round 292, which matched Long Island and Siena for the day's low team score
Overall, Rhody is 21-over (305-292=597) and just two strokes behind St. John's (+19/595)
Saint Joseph's is the only other Atlantic 10 team among the field of 14. The Hawks are in 14th place at 68-over (332-312=644).

Individual Results

Redshirt fifth year Brandon Gillis is in sole position of first place, with a two-round score of 5-under (71-68=139). He is the only competitor under par entering the final round of play, and is six strokes ahead of the individuals tied for second place.
Gillis was 3-under through 10 holes, but recorded back-to-back bogeys on the 11th and 12th to move to 1-under. From there, he birdied three of the last six holes to finish the day 4-under (68).
Freshman Aidan O'Donovan moved up six spots into a tie for 17th overall at 7-over (77-74=151).
Senior Bryson Richards carded a second-round 75 to move into a tie for 28th at +9.
Redshirt freshman Chuck Tragesser remains tied for 35th at 10-over (79-75=154). His eagle on the first hole was one of just eight eagles through the tournament's first two rounds.
Junior Geronimo Narizzano went 8-over for the second day in a row. He will enter Wednesday's final round tied for 56th place (80-80-160).

While we didn't score as well as we can today, we showed the toughness that has been our trademark.
Brandon is playing great golf. It isn't his ball striking as much as his command of each shot and each moment.
We will need to score a lot better than we have to be in contention.
Tomorrow will say a lot about what kind of season we have had.
