KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island men's track and field competed at the non-scoring Beacon Invitational Saturday.

Highlights from the Track

• Jarrett Young won the 200 meters in a time of 21.58 seconds. Jolon O'Connor placed second (21.80s) and Liam Creeley was fourth (22.08s).
• Lucas Plaia was second in the 400 meters, finishing with a time of 48.43 seconds. Derek Chalmers finished sixth (49.91s).
• Collin Ochs won the 1000 meters in 2:27.50. Eli Baker placed third, clocking in at 2:27.64.
• The 4x400m relay team of Barry Ndeh, Jolon O'Connor, Jarrett Young, and Liam Creeley won in 3:21.23.

In the Field

• The Rams took the 1-2-3 in the high jump, with Matt Santy claiming first with a mark of 2.04m (6' 8.25"). Jack Reichenbach placed second (6' 7") and John Santos was third (6' 7").
• Mason Brubaker finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.70m (15' 5").
• Davon Tate placed third in the long jump with a leap of 6.51m (21' 4.25"). Santos was fourth with a 6.44-meter mark (21' 1.5").
• Orion Joyner placed second in the triple jump (47' 3.5") and Barry Ndeh was third (46' 11.75").
• Chris Tavarone finished second in the shot put with a throw of 15.66 meters (51' 4.5").
• Alexander Baez placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 17.97 meters (58' 11.5").
