KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island's
Patrick Agyemang is one of 44 players nationally to receive an invitation to the Major League Soccer College Showcase that will take place from Dec. 9-12 in Raleigh, N.C. The MLS released the list of invitees for the showcase Tuesday afternoon.
The third-ever adidas MLS College Showcase will be held in conjunction with the 2022 NCAA Men's College Cup and in advance of the 2023 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas on Dec. 21. It will feature 44 top college players, ranging from freshmen to graduate students, participating in a series of training sessions, testing, interviews, and match play.

This event will allow MLS clubs to scout and interact with potential MLS SuperDraft selections across different stages of their collegiate careers without jeopardizing players' collegiate eligibility. The 2022 adidas MLS College Showcase is a closed event and only open to MLS club technical staffs.

Agyemang has been a two-time All-Atlantic 10 First Team selection since joining the Rams as a transfer from Eastern Connecticut State. In 37 career matches for Rhode Island, Agyemang (East Harford, Conn.) recorded 19 goals and 12 assists, for 50 total points. This season, he led the team in total points (16p/7g/2a) for the third year in a row. A three-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and two-time member of College Soccer News' National Team of the Week, he also was named to last year's A-10 All-Conference and All-Championship teams, and was recognized by United Soccer Coaches as one of the nation's top players this preseason. Including his two seasons at Eastern Connecticut State, he has recorded 49 goals and 22 assists, giving him an impressive 120 career points over 76 collegiate games played.
