KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island grad senior Stephen Cirella won the annual URI Heptathlon Friday. A two-day event, Cirella raked in 5129 points- good for sixth all-time.

Heptathlon Highlights
- Cirella finished first overall with 5129 total points. He was seventh in the 60 meters (7.47s), first in the long jump (21' 1.25"), first in the shot put (56' 1.25"), first in the high jump (6' 2.25"), fourth in the 60m hurdles (8.86s), first in the pole vault (14' 3.25"), and ninth in the 1000m (3:05.95).
