After two rounds of play, Rhode Island is in second place among the field of 14.
The Rams led the field after the first round, combining for a team score of 273.
A second-round 277 put Rhody at 550 for the day, one stroke behind VCU (275-274=549)
VCU (-27), URI (-26), George Washington (-22), Old Dominion (-21) and Charleston Southern (-20) round out the top-5.
In total, five Atlantic 10 teams are competing in the tournament – Rhode Island, VCU, George Washington, Richmond and St. Bonaventure. After two rounds, Richmond is in 10th place (-14) while St. Bonaventure is in 14th (+15)

Individual Results

Redshirt fifth year Brandon Gillis turned in a clean first day, recording nine birdies and 27 pars through 36 holes. He is one of just two competitors – among the field of 75 – that did not go over on a single hole through the first two rounds. He will enter Tuesday's final round tied for third (67-68=135), two strokes off the lead at 9-under.
Sophomore Chuck Tragesser finished the day 6-under (70-68=138) to tie for 13th overall. He led Rhode Island with 10 birdies through 36 holes.
Freshman Aidan O'Donovan is also tied for 13th place, going 67-71=138 (-6). He was -3 on par-3 holes, which led the field of 75.
Junior Geronimo Narizzano was even for the day, at 144 (74-70).
Senior Bryson Richards carded an opening-round 69, but dropped 41 spots down the leaderboard after a second-round 77. He will enter the final round tied for 56th overall (+2)

Head Coach Gregg Burke Said…

We played very well today. Brandon is playing at a very high level right now. He is avoiding any hint of a mistake out there.
Chuck is just what we thought he would be when we recruited him. He is in complete control of his game and emotions out there.
Geronimo is starting to feel more comfortable. We have to remember he is more than 5,000 miles from home, in a place he has never been before, and has not seen his family in 18 months. As he finds his grove, he can be a superstar.
Like Chuck, Aidan is what we thought he would be. As he matures and gets physically stronger, he will be as good as he wants to be.
The red number is gaudy but it isn't a 36-hole tournament.
