How It Happened
Kelsey McMenemy won the first heat of the 200 Individual medley preliminaries to highlight Rhode Island's performances on Day Two of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.

McMenemy finished with a time of 2:07.48. However, it was not enough to advance to Thursday's event finals, and McMenemy placed 27th in the field of 57.

Rhode Island did pick up 14 points with an 10th place finish in the 200 freestyle relay. The team of Abby Zadorozny, Camryn Kreuscher, Mackenzie Thomas and Julia Renna recorded a time of 1:35.37. The Rams were edged at the wall by Saint Louis, but moved up a spot when Davidson's team was disqualified.

In Thursday's other events, freshman Rylee Kelly was URI's top performer in the 500 freestyle, placing 26th out of 63 swimmers. Fellow freshman Abby Zadorozny had Rhode Island's best time in the 50 freestyle, finishing 37th out of 76 entrants.
