BOSTON, MASS. — Rhode Island men's track and field won its 25th New England crown in convincing fashion, over 100 points ahead of the competition. The team collected 199 points and had five individual champions.

Champions 

• The 4x400m relay team of Derek Chalmers, Liam Creeley, Collin Ochs, and Jarrett Young won in 3:17.08.
• John Santos won his first New England crown in the high jump after clearing 2.05 meters (6' 8.75").
• Ben Fleischer claimed first in the 5000 meter with a time of 14:47.30, eight seconds ahead of the next finisher (14:55.46). Fleischer defended his 2022 Indoor New England 5000m title with the finish. 
• Johnathan Buchanan took home his first New England Indoor crown in the weight throw, marking 20.50 meters (67' 3").
• Jack Reichenbach won the long jump for the first-place title. He had a leap of 7.20 meters (23' 7.5").
• Stephen Cirella won the heptathlon crown with 5150 points. 

Highlights from Competition 

• Jolon O'Connor was runner-up in the 60 meter final. He crossed the finish in 6.91 seconds. Liam Creeley was fifth in 6.98 seconds.
• Jarrett Young was the 400 meter runner-up, finishing in 48.39 seconds. 
• Collin Ochs placed second in the 500 meter final with a time of 1:03.86.
• Antonio Capalbo finished fifth in the 800 meter final after crossing the finish in 1:55.56.
• In the 1000 meter final, Ianique Imboque finished fifth in 2:32.45.
• Aidan Kindopp placed third in the mile with a time of 4:14.29.
• Kai Schmidt-Bilowith finished fifth in the 60m hurdles final in 8.23 seconds.
• Matt Santy finished fifth in the high jump (2.00m) and Jack Reichenbach was seventh (1.95m).
• In the pole vault, Mason Brubaker placed third with a mark of 4.65 meters (15' 3"). 
• Orion Joyner placed second in the triple jump (14.52m) and Barry Ndeh was third (14.50m).
• Chris Tavarone placed second in the shot put after throwing 16.92 meters (55' 6.25").
