KINGSTON, R.I. - - Rhode Island had four featured on the Atlantic 10 Outdoor All-Rookie Team, the league announced Tuesday.
The All-Rookie team is compromised of the top-rookie performer in each event from meets conducted from the start of the outdoor regular season through the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship. The team was selected based off meet results submitted through the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFFRS).
Derek Chalmers had the best performance in the long jump from his first-place finish at A-10's (7.68m) while Nate Field (12.88m) and Adam Dubois (69.21m) had the top marks in the shot put and javelin, respectively. Alexander Baez was the top Rookie in the weight throw with a mark of 59.50 meters.
