How it Happened
Rhode Island dropped a battle to Maine Sunday afternoon, falling 1-0 on the road against the Black Bears.
Rhody held the hosts scoreless through the first half of play. Although the Rams couldn't manage a shot in the opening half, they limited Maine to just one shot on goal to keep the score knotted at zero.
The deciding goal came in the 83rd minute after Laura Kirkby found the back of the net off a rebound that was initially saved by Hutchins.
