- Rhode Island is 1-3-4 in Atlantic 10 play since the win over the Billikens last season.
- Saint Louis sophomore C.J. Coppola is the current Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
- He scored late game winners in back-to-back matches last week, lifting the team over Oral Roberts and Fordham.
- Coppola leads the Billikens with four goals on the season.Â
- Rhode Island is looking for its first road win since it defeated Fairfield 1-0 on Sept. 14 of 2022. The Rams have recorded six ties in its last nine matches away from Kingston, going 0-3-6 since the Fairfield match.Â
RHODY ROSTER SPANS THE GLOBEÂ Â
- The Rhode Island roster has plenty of international flavor to it, as URI features players from 10 different countries.
- Outside of the United States - which is home to 18 members of the team, Spain has the most representation.
- Midfielder Ivan Montoro and goalie Edu Rodriguez both hail from Madrid, while forwards Íñigo Etxegarai (San Sebastian) and Rafa Villanueva (Getxo) are also natives of Spain.
- The defense in front of Rodriguez is often entirely international, as defenders Vetle Nilsen (Skedsmokorse, Norway), Rodrigo De Castro (Goiânia, Brazil) and Joseph Mwamba (Brøndby, Denmark) are all from outside the U.S.Â
- On the other end of the the pitch, forwards Brandon Bermingham (Drogheda, Ireland), Isak Oystese (Oslow, Norway) and Stijn Terlouw (Deventer, Netherlands) have all traveled the world to get to Rhode Island.
- Rhode Island head coach Gareth Elliott hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
