KINGSTON, R.I. - Members of the Rhode Island women's track & field program represented the squad at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The event, hosted by Boston University, featured five different Rams in action.
Sydney Federico highlighted the afternoon by winning her 500m heat with a season-best time of 1:16.68.
Highlights
- Federico finished 13th overall and was within half a second of a top-10 pace.
- Hanna O'Connor placed 35th in the Mile, crossing the line in 4:55.83. It was a six-second personal best and puts her fourth all-time in program history.
- Madeline Till paced URI in the 1000m with a time of 2:57.11, good for 15th overall. Erin Hurley (3:01.16) was 19th.
- Till's time was good for a personal best.

The Rams will send some team members to the David Hemery Valentines Classic on Friday, Feb. 9 before hosting the URI Coaches Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 10. Competition at Mackal Fieldhouse is set for an 11 a.m. start.
