Rhody, Fordham Open A-10 Play in the Bronx Saturday

KINGSTON, R.I. - In a rematch from last year's Atlantic 10 Championship tournament, Rhode Island visits Fordham for a three-game series to begin conference play this weekend. The teams play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday, with all three contests set to be streamed on ESPN+.

MILLER OFFERING AN OFFENSIVE SPARK

  • Sophomore Casey Miller has started four of the last six games, doing so at three different positions.
  • She started in the outfield at Austin Peay, at second base against Akron and she was the designated player in both ends of the doubleheader at Tennessee Tech.
  • In the four games, she batted .400 (4-for-10) with a walk and two runs scored student.
  • The speedy Miller made one start in her first nine appearances of the season, most of which came as a pinch runner.
