KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Rowing competed through the wind and choppy water on Saturday at the Overpeck Invitational.
Five different boats were in action for the Rams, led by undefeated performances by both the Varsity 4+ and Second Varsity 4+. Racing matchups between Rhode Island and the rest of the nine-team field were pre-determined.Â

Amelia Katula defeated both George Washington and UMass in the morning before besting Navy in a head-to-head in the afternoon.Â

Brigid McShea beat Columbia, GW and UConn in the morning by nearly a full 10 seconds. In the afternoon, the boat was eight seconds ahead of second-place Columbia, which was followed by Massachusetts.Â
Rhode Island picked up another win in the afternoon when the Second Varsity 8+ held off both Navy and Bucknell. Cox
