GLEN COVE, N.Y. - For the third straight season, Rhode Island will play in the Nassau Intercollegiate, hosted by LIU. The three-round tournament gets underway Monday morning.
The Nassau field includes Belmont, Iona, Fairfield, Kansas City, Sacred Heart Army, Rhode Island and host LIU.
The Rams - who have two team titles and four top-four finishes through four events this fall - will have a familiar lineup.

Luke Stennett will represent the Rams. All five have played in each tournament for URI this fall.
Liu in particular has been swinging well for Rhode Island. He has shot par or better in five straight rounds, including three sub-70 scores in the last four rounds of play. He tied for 11th at the stacked Moraine Intercollegiate and befor that was seventh at the UConn Invitational at GreatHourse.
Last season, Rhode Island was fourth out of 13 teams at Nassau, a dip from the team's second-place finish in 2023.
The host course for the 2025 Junior Ryder Cup in September, Nassau Country Club was established in 1896 and is a private course on the North Shore of Long Island. Nassau Country Club is the location where Bobby Jones first used his putter known as Calamity Jane in 1923. Given to him by club pro Jim Maiden during a tune-up round at Nassau Country Club, Jones used Calamity Jane during his U.S. Open win at Inwood that summer. The putter stayed in his bag until after he retired following his 1930 Grand Slam. Today, Calamity Jane is on display at Golf House in Far Hills, N.J., home of the USGA.
