KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island moved up in both FCS Top 25 polls after Saturday's 58-17 win at UAlbany. The Rams came in at No. 13 in both the
Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and the
AFCA FCS Coaches Poll.
The Rams made a three spot jump in the Stats Perform poll earning 631 points and moving from No. 16 to No. 13. Rhode Island is just seven points behind No. 12 Jackson State (SWAC). The Rams are one of three CAA Football programs in the poll along with No. 11 Villanova and No. 10 Monmouth.
In the AFCA poll, Rhode Island jumped from No. 15 to No. 13. The Rams earned 314 points and are eight points behind No. 12 Villanova.
The top seven spots in each poll remained the same from last week. North Dakota State (Missouri Valley), South Dakota State (Missouri Valley), and Tarleton State (United) hold the top three spots. Montana (Big Sky), Montana State (Big Sky), UC Davis (Big Sky), and Lehigh (Patriot) round out the top seven.
Rhode Island returns home to host Bryant on Saturday, Oct. 25. Game time is set for 1 p.m. on FloCollege.com and MeTV.
