Rams Enter Top 10 of Both National Polls

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island has entered the top 10 of both National FCS Polls for the first time since Sept. 26. The Rams moved up a spot in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 from No. 11 to No. 10 and remain at No. 9 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.

Rhody received 839 points in the Stats poll. The Rams are two points behind No. 9 Villanova who received 841 points. The CAA had four teams in the Stats poll. Monmouth remained the No. 12 team in the poll, and New Hampshire entered the poll at No. 25. Rhode Island defeated New Hampshire 38-27 on Oct. 11. 

Rhode Island is No. 9 in the AFCA poll. The Rams received 402 points in the poll and are behind No. 8 Tennessee Tech (OVC-Big South) who tallied 423 points. No. 7 Villanova and No. 11 Monmouth are the other two CAA programs in the AFCA poll. Monmouth is tied for No. 11 with Illinois State (Missouri Valley). New Hampshire, William & Mary, and Elon are the other CAA teams receiving votes in the poll.

Rhode Island is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 22 when it hosts Hampton at Meade Stadium. It is the last regular season game of the season for the Rams. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and will air on FloCollege.com.
