RHODE ISLAND VS. ST. BONAVENTURE - SERIES NOTES
- Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure are meeting for the 76th time.

- The last time St. Bonaventure beat Rhode Island in Kingston was a 67-61 win on Feb. 9, 2013.
- Both teams enter the week looking to snap two-game losing streaks.
- St. Bonaventure commits fewer fouls than any team in the Atlantic 10, getting whistled just 13.1 times per game. That ranks sixth lowest in the country.
- The Bonnies rank third in the league and 21st in the country in scoring defense, allowing 64.4 points per game.
- Despite not having a top 15 scorer in the A-10, St. Bonaventure has four players averaging double digits in points per game. Melvin Council Jr. (14.2 points/game), Chance Moore (13.2), Noel Brown (12.5) and Lajae Jones (10.2) give the Bonnies a consistent, balanced attack.
FUCHS STEPPING UP ON OFFENSE
- Sophomore forward David Fuchs put together his two best offensive games of the season last week, setting season highs in scoring in consecutive games.
- Fuchs had 16 points and eight rebounds at Fordham last Wednesday, and he followed that with 17 points and eight rebounds at George Mason on Saturday.
- His season high before last week was 11 points against College of Charleston on Nov. 24.
- Fuchs is 13-for-17 from the field over the last two games, raising his season field goal percentage to .571.
- He also is 2-for-3 from 3-point range in the last two games after going 1-for-7 in his first 19 games.
SANTORO OIL SPONSORING FOOD DRIVE
- For both home games this week, Santoro Oil is partnering with Rhode Island Athletics on a food drive to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
- Every person who brings a non-perishable food item t0 either Wednesday's game against St. Bonaventure or Saturday's game against La Salle will receive a voucher for two tickets to the March 8 home game against Fordham.
- The focus of the drive is to provide healthy food for families in need within the state.
