KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island women's track & field team was in action at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday.
The Rams sent 19 student-athletes to the non-scoring event.Â
Highlights
- Megan Wood's 59' 3/4" toss in the weight throw earned her second place overall.Â
- Odette van Wyk was third in the 60m Dash, crossing the line in 7.70. She also placed eighth in the Invite 200m with a time of 24.53.Â
- Lily MacDonald placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 39' 1".Â
- The quartet of Nyah Santana, Lily Saul, van Wyk and Sydney Federico finished fourth in the 4x400 Relay (3:44.62). Rhody edged Atlantic 10 foe Richmond by about .2 seconds.Â
- Wood came in fourth place in the shotput with a mark of 46' 10".Â
- Macy Daigle cleared 5' 4 1/4" in the high jump to tie Colgate's Kiran George for fourth.Â
- Abigail Colella placed 10th in the 200m (25.31). She edged Brandeis' Sarai Sealy by .002 seconds for the top-10 finish.Â

Rhody will compete at Brown's Alden Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 22. The meet is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. in Providence.Â
