Weekend Notes
KINGSTON, R.I. - After having the delay the start of the 2025 season last weekend, Rhode Island finally gets the
Mike Coutts era underway with five games at the Lowcountry Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston.
The Rams will open with a game against Ohio and then play two games each against the host Cougars and Dartmouth. Rhody has won 38 games over the last two seasons, winning 15 or more in back-to-back years for the first time since the 2003 and 2004 seasons, when the team won a combined 36 games.
The games against College of Charleston will be streamed on FloSoftball.com.Â

RHODE ISLAND VS. OHIO - SERIES NOTES
- Rhode Island and Ohio have met once previously, a 4-0 win for the Bobcats in 2000.
- The game was played at the Buzz Classic Games hosted by Georgia Tech.
- Ohio is coming off a 31-win season in 2024 (31-24).
RHODE ISLAND VS. COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON - SERIES NOTES
- Rhode Island will be facing College of Charleston for the first time since a 4-0 loss at the 2019 Charleston Invitational.
- The teams have played twice, each winning once.
- URI's win was a 5-4 victory in 1998 at the Winthrop Invitational in South Carolina.
- URI is College of Charleston's second Atlantic 10 opponent of the season. The Cougars split two games against Fordham as part of the Charleston Invitational the opening weekend of the season.
RHODE ISLAND VS. DARTMOUTH - SERIES NOTES
- Rhode Island leads the all-time series against Dartmouth, 12-4.
- The teams have not played since the 2013 season, when the Rams recorded a 4-3 win at the University of South Florida Tournament.
- Dartmouth went 0-5 at the Joan Joyce Classic last weekend in games against Purdue, N.C. State, FAU and Villanova.
SUCCESS FOR BULINSKI, RAMS GO HAND IN HAND
- Junior catcher Kylie Bulinski enjoyed a breakout season in 2024, batting .292 with three home runs, eight doubles and 21 runs batted in.
- No player in the lineup has more of an offensive impact on the team's overall success this season.
- In the 15 games Rhode Island won, Bulinski batted .422 (19-for-45) with six doubles, one home run, 14 runs batted in and five runs scored.
- She was second on the team with 42 hits.
- The team's primary catcher over the last two seasons, Bulinski has started 91 of the 98 games she has appeared in for the Rams.
- She already ranks 11th in program history with 400 putouts.
- She needs 22 more to tie Susan Harrison (422 from 2019-23) for 10th place.
- Bulinski and Harrison are tied for fourth in program history with a .989 fielding percentage.
