KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island women's track & field team competed in its final meet of the indoor regular season at the Brown Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Kayla Clark highlighted the action for URI, winning the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.81. She was one of four Rams to earn a top-three finish at the event.Â
Highlights
- Josie Allred cleared 4' 11 1/2" in the high jump to finish second place. Alexis Zarr (4' 9 1/2") was fifth.Â
- Alexis Best finished third in the 60m (7.99). She was just .19 seconds off the winning pace. Hileni Mor was sixth (8.16) and Joanna Ball came in eighth (8.24).Â
- Kiley Mironenko came in third in the triple jump with a mark of 36' 2 3/4".Â
- Amyah Santana crossed the line fourth in the 500m (1:21.09).Â
- Allison Vigue (11' 7 3/4"), Katelyn Welsh (11' 7 3/4"), Olivia Priest (11' 1 3/4") and Sarah Parr (10' 2") finished in order in the pole vault, fourth through seventh.Â
- Alyssa Yankee tossed the shotput 40' 2 1/4" to finish fifth.Â
- Leyla Kvaternik's time of 3:08.32in the 1000m earned her fourth place.Â
- Alyvia Caruso placed seventh in the 60m Hurdle finals with a time of 9.39.Â
- Caruso recorded a mark of 16' 5 1/4" in the long jump for seventh place.Â
- Ball was seventh in the 300m, crossing the line in 44.06.Â
