KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island sent a handful of competitors to the Friar Invitational in Providence Friday. The Rams also were represented at the USF Invitational in the 4x100m relay, but the team of Alex Arbogast, Jarrett Young, Liam Creeley, and LJ Raye did not finish.

Friar Invitational Highlights
- Nick Martin placed second in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing in 8:59.14. Martin broke the record he set just a meet ago, a 9:01.18 finish at the Ocean State Cup.
- Maddox Jordan finished 17th in the mile, crossing the finish line in 4:13.05. Antonio Capalbo was 28th in 4:15.98.
- Elijah Saddlemire was the top finisher for the Rams in the 800m, finishing sixth in 1:56.27. Adam Melnick (1:56.70) and Owen Fleischer (1:57.27) both finished in the top 10, finished ninth and 10th respectively.
